Around 7:25 p.m., RCMP responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 41 between Highway 545 and Township road 190.

In a statement, police said two people from Leader, Sask., — a 38-year-old-male who was driving the car and a 14-year-old female — were killed after the driver swerved to avoid a moose.

The car then hit a cattle hauler head-on and caught on fire.

The driver of the cattle hauler was not injured.

Police did not specify the relationship between the victims.
