Here we go — forecasters are calling for the first significant snowfall of the season in Alberta beginning tonight.
“Snow will develop over west-central Alberta tonight and move towards the east and south on Monday,” a ECCC special weather statement reads. “Snowfall amounts will vary greatly across the province due to initially warm ground temperatures and the duration of snowfall over some regions.”
Folks living in central Alberta can expect to see 2 to 5 cm of snow by Tuesday morning, while people living in south Alberta can expect to see 5 to 15 cm.
“Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.”
